Regulators and regulator/rectifier units are not interchangeable just because their connectors look similar. Electrical specification and wiring must be confirmed for the exact application.
- Bike year, make, model and any changes to the stator, battery or wiring.
- All part numbers and case markings, plus clear photos of the old unit and connector faces.
- Connector pin count, keying, wire colours and mounting-hole spacing in millimetres.
- The original system voltage and AC/DC or regulator/rectifier specification from the service manual, if known.
